"I visited Dr. Elizabeth Wang in May, and I am very disappointed with the experience. Dr. Wang feels like a doctor still in residency, rather a full practicing one. She seems quite unfamiliar with her practicing field, and couldn't come up with right treatment after diagnose (and wrong diagnose, in my case) either. I have a common skin condition that passed from my lip to my finger, she didn't believe it at first, saying she has never heard of such a thing in her professional life. After I reiterated the connection, she did some google on her phone, suddenly such a thing exists. She proceeded to say mine doesn't look like the images shown by google. I have to explain to her that yes it was like that in the beginning, but it changes gradually over years of constant inflammation. Apparently all these new knowledge overwhelmed her, she continue to say she doesn't know what it is thus she was unable to treat it. But since it calloused she can freeze it like a corn. She totally lost me after the moment, so I simply said go ahead. I am surprised in Dr. Wang's limitation in knowledge. This skin condition is so common that is widely know by layman, any good mom can give you some recommendations and over the counter solutions are readily available on Amazon. I simply want a more efficient and effective prescription from a specialist. But there she is. Even for the diagnose that Dr. Wang came up with, she gave not the best solutions for patients. If it was really a corn, the more effective way is to apply an anti-viral gel at the place, and let one's immunology takes care of it. Freezing often breaks skin structure, and left open to more second hand infection. How do I know this, I just did a similar treatment from podiatrist at the same clinic. Plus, the medicine Dr. Wang prescribed to me has serious side effect on liver, the recommended treatment is to apply ointment of the same medicine topically. Well, apparently she doesn't know that neither. It is OK to be green, everybody went through that phase, as long as you are intellectually inquisitive and open to learn. An "I am a doctor thus I know better than you" and "Even I don't know anything I can always freeze it off" attitude won't help rising above being mediocre. Sadly I don't see such a path in Dr. Wang. "
