Pain Medicine Specialists - Fall River, MA

"This guy sucks, in plain english. I am scheduled for major spine surgery in October at Mass Gen Spine Clinic. I have never had pain management for this before and was looking for something to help me from July until my surgery. I had an appointment with a pain management dr in Boston also who suggested I see my primary for some meds. I have been in intense pain for sometime and finally gave in. My primary care had prescribed me with something that barely touched the surface. I ran out 1 day before my appointment with this pain management dr. I understood nothing would be prescribed on the first visit pending a urinalysis to show I was not on anything illegal and I was taking the med prescribed. 11 days later I was leaving out of state for a week. I called 10 days later and there was still no info on my urine test and nothing was prescribed. I returned 2 weeks after my initial appointment only to find he was on vacation and the covering dr would not do anything either. My primary care couldn't do anything either because I had been seen at the pain clinic. I signed all of the releases for all my Dr's at all the hospitals I have been to plus I have the copies in my hand with the cd's of xrays, mri's and ct scans. to keep this short. With everything being provided, followed with my extreme displeasure and numerous phone calls, From Aug 4 until now I still have nothing and an earlier appointment was not even offered. My next appointment was to be Sept 9, which I canceled. With surgery on Oct 20 and suffering this long and being a cornered wounded bear, I have nothing but expletive choice words to use and suggest you look elsewhere if you really need this kind of help. Pain Management should not be seeing how much longer a dr can keep you in pain. "
