Dr. Merrill has been my sleep medicine doctor for many years. He know my case history very well. Weve worked through many strategies to determine a treatment that has been successfu for a few yearsl. This year, wapathfinder no longer offered our old insurance company. I stuck my toe in the waters of trying to transfer the care for this issue. I immediately hit road blocks. It felt like I as being asked to start at the beginning. I was told not to take my medication as prescribed. Then I had difficulty get a prescription for the length of time I needed as Rx don't stock it and it has be special ordered. Hence, each delay with an Rx causes days without medication. Family Medicine is that the appropriate provider, despite my current insurer wanting me to use this level of care. My policy does not include outside of network providers. However, we put in a request to the plan manager. I was approved. I just simply cannot imagine not having Dr. Merrill as my care provider. I cannot rave enough about how understanding and thorough he is. I always feel cared for very well.

Dr. Ian Merrill is the best sleep specialist I've had in 40 years. My only complaints have nothing to do with him as a doctor. In the past two years, it has been difficult to make appointments. I haven't been able to find him on MyChart. I did a web search for his office number, but after 3-4 times of waiting on hold, having it ring then after a few minutes of silence disconnecting my call, I thought maybe he had retired, so I selected new patient, waited, the call was answered and I was told he hadn't retired so that person couldn't make an appointment for existing patient. I was transferred, waited on hold then someone answered and cheerfully made my appointment. It felt like a lot of work and time that could have been handled simply and quickly in MyChart. Again, that has nothing to do with my satisfaction with Dr. Merrill.

1st visit with provider after long time provider retired. This provider was exceptionally well prepared by having reviewed the files and prior notes and charts before session began. He asked very insightful questions and probed when appropriate. He had an excellent calm and interested demeanor and always respectful during our session. Any concern I may have had prior to our first visit was completely eliminated and feel this provider is one of the best I've had in this field.

Years ago, Dr Merrill prescribed my first C-Pap machine. Ive been his patient since and he has monitoreo my C-Pap numbers. I Changed insurance plan and had to see him for a check up. He prescribed a new C-Pap and l am going through their approval process. Dr. Merrill is not only a good doctor, he is a great human being who is a good communicator and is very respectful and provides me with the information l need regarding my sleep apnia

Dr Ian Merrial is calm, understanding, caring and makes a point of educating me on the effects sleep apnea have and had on my health. The positive impact he has had on my health has been enormous. He has helped me with my A-Fib heart problems more than my cardiologist.I actively recommend him to friends who may be struggling with sleep apnea.

He freely displayed the charts to me and explained their significance to ensure that I understood their meaning. Dr. Merrill is attentive, compassionate, and an excellent educator. He's practice centers empathy and acknowledgement of the patient as a person rather than a set of symptoms. My only wish is that scheduling were easier. I am often contracted by his office with requests to reschedule appointments.

I really like Dr. Merrill. He listens to me, answers my questions thoroughly, and takes the time to explain things to me. Getting appointments is easy using MyChart, but his availability is not the best. Wait times for appointments are lengthy and stretch care for my issue out more than I'd like.
