Dr James Gottlieb grew up in Saint Joseph, Michigan. While growing up, Dr Gottlieb admired his own pediatrician, as well as his best friend's father who was also a skilled physician. When he was around eight years old, Dr Gottlieb knew he wanted to be a pediatrician and never wavered from his dedication to this goal through his many years of education, training, and practice. Dr Gottlieb left Michigan to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He returned to the Great Lakes State to enroll at the University of Michigan Medical School then completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Utah.
