Worst experience ever, they wasted my time and don’t care about you but the mighty dollar. I went there but I turned around because they tried to scam. On 2/5 I went to Greenwich Village Oral Surgery for an implant consultation. They did x-rays and my Insurance said I had to pay $375 because is not covered. I emailed the office and they told me this: We do not charge you for this upfront because we first try submitting it to your dental insurance for coverage. The charge for this scan will be bundled in with your copay for the dental implants should you decide to go forward with the procedure here at our office. If not, you will not be responsible for the fee. Please let us know how you would like to proceed. A pre-determination for the implants has already been forwarded to your insurance company. At the time of the consultation they didn’t tell me that my Insurance wouldn’t pay for this scan. They know very well my Insurance won’t pay for, they know what insurances pay and don’t. They said I don’t have to pay if don’t do the procedure but If I do it will be bundled with my co-pay. What is that mean, do I have to pay for or is it going would be included in my copay? This is how the fraud begins. They make you believe that they won’t charge you and then they try to charge you. I went to have the procedure done and the receptionist said I own them $375. I said to her, you said I don’t have to pay that. No she said, you pay if you do the procedure. This makes no sense. Everyone in the world charges you for consultation and then then they deduct it from the copay, provided they tell you what you are getting charge for. Is not right to perform and test without telling the patient that it won’t be covered by the Insurance. So you go there the day of the procedure and they hold you hostage to pay the balance and if you are weak then you fall into this trap. I said I am not paying for that. She said we won’t do the procedure, she said it like as if she had said it 100s of times before. This is a well though fraud, they know exactly how to manipulate the situation. Most people fall into this trap because they are there and feel frustrated looking for another doctor. Stay away from them, these are not honest people, they are not transparent, they are small people who don’t care about quality work but how scam another patient. Read the reviews other people wrote, they are not crazy, it happened to them too. This is the doing of the doctors there.
