Botched. I am very regretful that I had a mini lift procedure with Dr Janitch. He made it seem like it would be the answer to my laxity issue in my upper neck/chin area. Not only did it NOT improve the area AT ALL,my incisions are botched. The incisions do not follow the natural anatomy of my ear like they’re supposed to. It is a straight cut down from over the top of my ear and down and around the bottom of my ear. During the procedure Dr Janitch complained to his nurses about trying to sell his home, having to rent, worried about people breaking into his truck, etc. He seemed very distracted with his personal life. There was no focus on what he was doing. I am 7 months post op and my scars are still red, raised and thick. Dr Janitch is aware he messed up this procedure so offered to try to remedy the situation by offering to make another incision under my chin to try to fix the unresolved laxity. I saw him yesterday to discuss this. it was 11:30. He said he has a surgery at 12,but he had time for the under chin procedure if I wanted. 30 minutes to numb me, make an incision, stitch it up and get to his surgery? He is always so rushed. I declined.
I do not trust him with another procedure.
I received the second opinions of two other plastic surgeons and they were completely shocked at where my incisions were placed. They recommended in the future when I am ready for another procedure to get a revision and hopefully these scars can be cut out and then incisions can be placed properly along the ear contour where they are much more discrete.I am very embarrassed that I need to put myself out there like this, but if this review can save 1 person from going through with the mini lift with Dr Janitch then it was worth it.
