My appointment revolved around a very sensitive subject for me, not having received pleasant care in the past. I explained to the nurse what I've dealt with since I do get light headed during these types of procedures and I wanted her to be informed and prepared for any emotion or incident. She was so caring and kind and it felt like the first person that has ever listened to me and showed that level of care. She utilized her consent forms which I've never experienced before. For something personally traumatic, I felt like I was in amazing care and very safe. Last year my OB refused to remove my birth control and when I initially received my iud, I was never informed of any part of the process or provided information on any alternative birth control other than the pill. This appointment I was able to ask all questions and received thorough information and in some cases physical demonstration of how certain forms work. I could not be more pleased with my appointment and the care I received.
