My 2 year old was having joint pain, chronic fever, extreme fatigue since December 2016. Took her into see Latif 2-3 times from December to March, getting increasingly concerned with my child’s health each time. Each time I was told “It’s just a virus, it’s normal.” She even had a ring-like formation on her back but was told it was likely eczema. Finally, in March, I went in again and demanded bloodwork. Latif was hesitant and made me feel like I was putting my daughter through an unnecessary experience. As it turns out, my daughter had high levels of Lyme! She was treated accordingly and she seems to have recovered fine. I was glad that I was able to advocate for my child and get some answers because Dr. Latif certainly wasn’t going to do it. We have since left the practice.
