Ms. Sheila Patterson, RD, CDCES

Sheila Patterson, RD, CDCES is a registered dietitian at Intermountain Health's Salt Lake Clinic Endocrinology and Diabetes Center and Cottonwood Endocrine & Diabetes Center. She is certified in diabetes care and education specialist with more than 10 years of experience helping adults improve their health through nutrition and lifestyle changes.  Sheila specializes in diabetes care, including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and gestational diabetes. Her clinical interests also include GLP-1 nutrition therapy, heart disease management, weight management, the Mediterranean diet, and anti-inflammatory nutrition. She works closely with patients to develop personalized nutrition and behavior-change strategies that support lasting health improvements. Sheila believes in providing patient-centered care and partnering with each individual to make informed decisions that fit their lifestyle, preferences, and health goals. She is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully manage their health and build sustainable habits for the future. Outside of work, Sheila is a proud mother of two and enjoys sharing nutrition education with the community through Intermountain Health’s Check Your Health segments on KUTV 2 News.
