"Absolutely the worst practitioner I have been seen by in my life. I was new to the area, had horrible abdominal pain, so much so that I was sent straight for a colonoscopy and endoscopy from the ER. When they did not find any immediate results from that process, I was referred to Blackard as he is the only GI in Lexington. He told me that I would have to wait three months until my insurance would pay for another colonoscopy and endoscopy before he would even try to evaluate me! I told him I could pay for the procedure myself immediately and he said no! Resultant of finding another GI in Winston, I was diagnosed with colitis, pancreatic insufficiency, and a hyperactive gallbladder. Surgeries were immediately performed within the week of the diagnosis. I went from months of pain and being tied to the restroom to finally being able to live life again. This man should loose his license and by the looks of other reviews here, I am not alone in my experience."
